Norman, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Jake Waters threw two touchdown passes and added a score on the ground, helping 14th-ranked Kansas State beat No. 11 Oklahoma 31-30 on Saturday afternoon. Waters completed passes to only three receivers while finishing 15-of-23 for 225 yards. Danzel McDaniel had an interception-return touchdown for the Wildcats (5-1, 3-0 Big 12), who posted their second win at Oklahoma in the last three years. The last time they won consecutive trips to Norman was in 1994 and 1997. Michael Hunnicutt tied a Big 12 record with his first made field goal for Oklahoma (5-2, 2-2), but missed his next two attempts, including a 19-yarder with about four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and an extra point. Trevor Knight connected on 26-of-32 passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Sterling Shepard tied an Oklahoma single-game receptions record with 15 grabs for 197 yards and a touchdown. Waters opened the second half with a 53-yard run, but came down hard on his right shoulder when he was tackled. He finished the drive, which ended with Matthew McCrane kicking a 27-yard field goal to push K-States lead to 24-17 The Sooners, though, tied the game on the ensuing drive when Blake Bell caught a 4-yard touchdown pass. The next Wildcats possession began with runs of 38 and nine yards by DeMarcus Robinson. Waters then hit Curry Sexton for 21 yards before scoring on a 4-yard keeper to put K-State back on top. Oklahoma reached the red zone on its next drive, but came away with no points when a reverse pass by wide receiver Durron Neal was intercepted by Morgan Burns in the end zone. The Wildcats were forced to punt and pinned the Sooners deep to start the fourth quarter. Knight engineered a 11-play, 93-yard drive that ended with Neals 9-yard TD grab. Travis Britz blocked the extra point to preserve the lead for K-State. After a rare three-and-out, Oklahoma advanced the ball effectively on the ground with Samaje Perine. The K-State defense, however, tackled Perine for a 1-yard loss on 3rd-and-goal from the 1. Hunnicutt then hooked what appeared to be a chip shot field goal wide-left. The Wildcats then converted a third down before running out the remaining time. Knight was injured on Oklahomas second possession of the game when a Kansas State player landed on his back while he was on the ground after a short run. Knight, who walked off the field with a trainer holding his left arm, missed only the rest of that series. When the drive resumed, Cody Thomas completed both of his passes in relief, but Alex Ross and Perine did most of the damage. Ross had a 42-yard run on the first play after Knight departed and Perine scored a touchdown on a 2-yard carry. The Wildcats had a quick response as Waters hit Glenn Gronkowski for a 62- yard touchdown pass. After a Nick Walsh punt pinned Oklahoma at its own 2 early in the second quarter, McDaniel picked off Knights pass on a quick out and returned it five yards for a touchdown. Knight shook off the interception, however, and came back to throw a 47-yard scoring strike to Shepard, tying the game at 14-14 less than a minute later. The Wildcats reclaimed the lead on their next drive, as Waters hooked up with Tyler Lockett on a 9-yard TD pass. Hunnicutt then made a 38-yard field goal, but he missed a 32-yard try at the end of the half. He matched Mason Crosby for the most made field goals in conference history with 71. Game Notes Oklahoma fullback Aaron Ripkowski was ejected in the first quarter for targeting the head of a Kansas State player ... Sexton caught eight passes for 77 yards, while Lockett had 86 yards on six receptions ... Perine rushed 24 times for 89 yards. Wholesale Atlanta Falcons Jerseys . "Specifically we havent played as well as wed like to hang our hat on.The fierce rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens has taken to the postseason on three previous occasions. All three matchups took place in Pittsburgh, and all ended with a Steelers victory. Baltimore will again head to Heinz Field for a postseason tilt tonight, looking to author a new chapter in the storied matchup. You can watch the game live on CTV at 8pm et/5pm pt. Its a great challenge, coach John Harbaugh said Monday. Its another playoff game there. Wed like to win one, one of these days. Baltimore previously lost playoff meetings with the Steelers in 2002, 2009 and 2011. The Ravens did not control their own destiny heading into the final week of the regular season, but took care of business with a 20-10 victory over Cleveland and benefited from San Diegos loss to Kansas City. The combination secured Baltimores sixth postseason berth in seven seasons and first since its Super Bowl title following the 2012 season. Any sort of title run this year will have to happen away from Baltimore, which will be on the road throughout the AFC playoffs as the sixth seed. All youve got to do is win all your games, Terrell Suggs said. If you ask me, I think were a (heck) of a team on the road. Sometimes, thats the way youve got to go. But everythings 0-0, all things are new, and weve gotten to the second season. The numbers dont exactly match Suggs sentiment. Including last season, the Ravens are 6-10 away from Baltimore and have not posted a winning record on the road since 2010. They were routed by the Steelers 43-23 in their last visit to Heinz Field on Nov. 2, allowing Ben Roethlisberger to throw for a career high-tying six touchdowns. Pittsburgh has enjoyed such performances from Roethlisberger all season. The 11th-year quarterback posted career highs with 32 touchdown passes, a 67.1 completion percentage, and 309.5 passing yards per game. Given his postseason pedigree, theres no indication the production should slow down Saturday. I think were continuing to improve every week, guys are stepping up and making plays, Roethlisberger, who owns a 10-4 playoff record and two Super Bowl titles, said to Pittsburghs official site. Were getting more contributions from a little bit of everybody. Yet, a key piece - LeVeon Bell - will be absent on Sunday. Bell amassed 11 touchdowns and 2,215 yards from scrimmage, contributing to Pittsburghs franchise-record 6,749 total yards this season, bbut he suffered a hyperextended knee in Pittsburghs AFC North-clinching 27-17 victory over Cincinnati in Week 17.dddddddddddd He was ruled out for the game Friday after missing a third straight practice. In losing Bell, who leads the league with 841 yards after catch, the Steelers would also lose their big-play threat from the backfield, leaving more responsibility in the passing game. Antonio Brown has proven he is up to that task, leading the NFL in receptions (129) and receiving yards (1,698). He should provide a daunting challenge for Baltimores 23rd-ranked pass defense. Antonio Brown is gifted, Harbaugh said to Baltimores official site. He runs all the routes; hes not just a deep threat, hes a route runner; reverses; as a punt returner, as we saw in the Cincinnati game last week. Hes a multi-dimensional guy that can score at any point in time. Brown posted an 11-catch, 144-yard performance against Baltimore in the most recent meeting, highlighted by a 54-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. It was an aerial display the Ravens have not yet forgotten. A couple mistakes here, a couple blown coverages, cornerback Rashaan Melvin said. You try not to make the same mistakes twice. … These last couple games, weve been playing good ball all over the field. That confidence going into the playoffs is going to help a lot. That defensive unit will receive a boost with the return of tackle Haloti Ngata, who completed a four-game suspension for violations of the leagues performance-enhancing substances policy. Ngata has two sacks and two interceptions in 12 games. Joe Flacco may also be entering Saturdays matchup with some momentum after passing for 312 yards and two touchdowns against Cleveland, marking his first 300-yard performance since Week 9. Despite his modest numbers of late, Flacco still finished the year with a career high in yardage (3,986) with ten fewer interceptions than he threw in 2013. Anything can happen once you get into the playoffs, but I dont necessarily want to approach it with us, Flacco said. Im not going to be surprised if, three weeks from now, were sitting here and still playing. With the exception of their most recent matchup, the Ravens and Steelers traditionally engage in low-scoring affairs, especially in Pittsburgh. Since 2008, Baltimore has averaged 18.4 points over its last seven games at Heinz Field, and has held Pittsburgh to 20.4 points in those contests.
